Reviews for "Radioactive-Decay: Day1"

source engine dos edition confirmed
faithful addition to the half life series

nice remake of half life 1, even the intro is long XD

I definitely liked the game and can't find an explanation for all those terrible reviews other than that those people probably never played half life and therefore suck. Of course it was quite slow and had some annoying moments, but for me, it was half life. I always knew where I was or what to do.
In terms of being an NES game, yes it misses music. Half life didn't have that much music though and when you'd get stuck, you'd be punished with silence. That said, I'm totally hyped for the next part and hope you wont get those dickheads and their dumb reviews get to you.

Good idea for the game. I think it is actually so cool to play Half-Life in style like that. I give minus for shooting.

This game was pretty fun to play, but it feels unbalanced in a few ways. For example, the crowbar is much stronger against the first type of enemy than a pistol. If I can distance myself far away from the small jumpers, I can snipe them in two shots with the pistol. The AI can be exploited to hug up near a wall, where the player can spam the crowbar and kill from behind a wall.

Story was pretty interesting, considering I never played a Half Life game. I'm looking forward to Day 2 of this spin-off; the only question I have is this: "Is Day3 confirmed?"

UnrealCanine responds:

The AI isn't my strong suit I'm afraid. When I get around to Day 2, I'll look at improving it big time
