Reviews for "Battle Blades"

It was decent.
As it stands now, it's hard to call it an RPG, it's quite flat.
However it can be improved, it has potential.
Particurarly the parts that need improvement are:
1) Variety, Decision-making, Randomness.
2) Art and music.
3) Adding some sort of interactivity to the battles.
Also , as a wild guess, adding some adventure based content?

There was a beyblade game i played on the gameboy color/advance i forgot which one but in that game you were able to control your blade through this platform full of traps that could stop your blade from spinning & at the end of the platform you would buy a boss & each boss had a unique power but during that fight you could still control your blade and try to knock the other blade off the platform. You would win money & be able to buy parts etc. Maybe you could come up with something lie this, i think it would have come potential depending how you do it. Either way your game was ok but it feels a bit pointless that you just watch your blade & you arent able to do much but pull the trigger.

JackAstral responds:

Okay- I might update the game soon with a little more player interaction. Thanks for giving it a shot and leaving a review anyway :)

I find it surprising that no comment mentioned the pokemon battle song being used.

I don't know if you are still working on this game or not but figured I would leave a review anyway.

1. Just like everyone else said, the battle system is a little bland.
2. I felt like it didn't matter whether I won or not in the park due to the payout. $200 for losing vs $250 for winning? Not that big of a difference. It didn't really motivate me to "want" to win.
3. The game overall felt a bit repetitive.
4. I felt like the real goal was to get the most expensive piece when it should have been winning the tournaments.

So here is how I did my rating.

1/1 star: Visuals/graphics
.5/1 star: Audio/music
0/1 star: Gameplay
.5/1 star: Grammar/English
.5/1 star: Taking your players into consideration.

I hope that you continue to improve and look to play more of your games

Overall an ok game. I neither hate it nor love it. It has some problems though, that if addressed, would make it a lot better. 1. It seems like the attack and defense stats use is dwarfed by the use of the stamina stat. I spent my first $1200 or so on a high stamina blade and it lasted me about 2/3 of the game. 2. If you win the first round, 99.99% of the time you win the second one as well. 3. there is no interactive ability in the fights. 4. the in-shop stats are not always correct. I bought the solar cross for 1080 and the solar block for 1500 and the solar block gave a drop in my attack and my defense. (haven't tried to see if it was affected by the blade i have but if so it was not indicated pre-purchase) 5. Battles are too random. I beat the last opponent in the first tournament without hitting them during either round.

You misspelt defense. Add Upgrades to refine the BeyBlades and INSTEAD of a Bar System to grade their powers and stuff, put it down as Numbered statistics so people can really push it to it's limit's. Add Tuning to modify the stats to a slight extent for each individual part that they want it to be like to be customized to the person.

And the game lags really really badly during a fight. Mind setting down the 3D Modeling Graphics and pixelize it instead of going modeling?

JackAstral responds:

Defence is spelled differently in differently countries. I'm not from North America.

If the game lags for you, turn down the quality setting on the settings menu. It runs fine at high quality on every computer I've tried.

Thanks for your suggestions and leaving a review :)
