Reviews for "Battle Blades"

It works.
It doesn't have any bugs.
But it's annoying as al heck that knockback amount seems completely random. The music gets old fast, too, and the backgrounds -and really the fights themselves- aren't that interesting to look at.

More could be done with it.
Like, for starters, adding color to the second set of items (I thought they were empty slots in the stores that would be added later for the longest time).

Adding in something to the starting pull -like a timed second-click for a better landing (increased stability), or adding in slight tactical element of angling the top when its sent out to have it move a certain way (hit from behind to try to knock opponent out faster, but decrease stability).

Having "sets" - effects that are given when combining different blades with different tops, like higher knockback or a stability bonus- would add to the rather empty tactics of "play until you get $5000, buy most expensive item. lay until you get $5000, buy most expensive item. Win game"

Adding "weight" to the game might be interesting, which would decrease how much your top moved but also decreased how much it could be pushed around (decreased likelihood of being knocked out f the ring) would be interesting.

Overall, it's a decent starter game, but blade and repetitive.
It holds some promise, though, as here it a lot that can be done with it.

I found the game to be decent enough. I always loved playing the Beyblade gams since the playstation version and I would love to a good flash version. I encourage you to make it bigger and better in the future. Like actually having clashes reduce stamina.

JackAstral responds:

Clashes do reduce stamina. The higher your attack is and the lower your opponents defence is the more stamina they'll lose.

Thanks for playing + leaving a review!

There was a beyblade game i played on the gameboy color/advance i forgot which one but in that game you were able to control your blade through this platform full of traps that could stop your blade from spinning & at the end of the platform you would buy a boss & each boss had a unique power but during that fight you could still control your blade and try to knock the other blade off the platform. You would win money & be able to buy parts etc. Maybe you could come up with something lie this, i think it would have come potential depending how you do it. Either way your game was ok but it feels a bit pointless that you just watch your blade & you arent able to do much but pull the trigger.

JackAstral responds:

Okay- I might update the game soon with a little more player interaction. Thanks for giving it a shot and leaving a review anyway :)

Pretty fun and a great time passing game, it does give you a nostalgic feel but I think you should be able to repeat tournaments or maybe add more.
Keep up the good work.

JackAstral responds:

Thanks! I'll be updating the game soon to allow players to replay tournaments. :)

too random

JackAstral responds:

Well it's mainly based on stats. If your blade has higher stats than your opponent you'll win most of the time.
