Addictive little game, very fun with a familiar formula (Harvest moon). Only really major thing i didn't like was the fact that you can't cancel a prosperity upgrades.

So does increasing the tool level increase the speed you use tools while idle, like harvesting? Or does it only affect using tools actively yourself?

It increases the speed always, both idle and active.
I noticed the same bug at post 400 cap when idling last night.

fixed, try to reload. Sometimes is needed to clean the cache (hey, but just the cache, not the cookies!)
Simple game. I like it so far. The ability to walk away for a moment, maybe even an few, is convenient. Like AwsmDud said, going AFK is cool! :D
