Reviews for "Lumber John"

Some very frustrating bits, like that last jump in 3-5, but a good game overall, especially when played with an old-school controller :)

It was pretty fun, I just wish the stages were a bit less complex so you didn't have to repeat so much. Solid game for what it was, though. :)

Incredibly hard at some points. Would have liked if I could break the bubbles that some of the enemies shoot with the axe, or if the axe and run button were two separate buttons.

This was a pretty cool game overall, short but sweet. The moving backgrounds are pretty cool and I recommend keeping that up. I only noticed two playability issues: 1) Sometimes when you walk to the edge of a platform, you will fall when you try to turn around. Fixing that might be more trouble than it's worth, but I figured I'd mention it. 2) The last jump on Stage 3-5 is a bit ridiculous. It took me, a seasoned platform gamer, 6 tries to make it to the door. I don't think people want to play a game where you can't be one pixel off.

Finally, the music is painfully repetitive in world 1. The rest of the music was good.

Keep up the good work. Thank you for the game.

There is an implied back story, but it seems to be missing an intro where the lumberjack's wife is stolen by an evil ghost. Why is your forest infested with monsters? Why do you have to fight a cat wizard and an ice dragon? Is Angry Jim in league with the evil ghost? And what happens to the ghost at the end? How come you don't have to fight it? Did killing the dragon kill the ghost somehow? Why is the forest safe now? Why are you able to go home happy? And if you had an airship the whole time, why didn't you use it to fly to your wife to begin with?
