It was pretty fun, I just wish the stages were a bit less complex so you didn't have to repeat so much. Solid game for what it was, though. :)

It's ok just very annoying that the hit box for the axe is so small and caused me many deaths when trying to kill things
Nice one, you've certainly got the element here that all retro games have.
Just an idea, how about bringing a really authentic version out - limited lives and a quirky little tune every time he dies XD that would really make it oldschool.

Thanks, my intention was originally to have it limited to three lives but I ultimately figured it was challenging to the point where people would get discouraged having to start the whole game over every time.
I am planning an Android release at some point in the future and I may implement this as a 'hardcore' or 'classic' mode.
I don't want to sound whiny but It seems like I'm experiencing a glitch that keeps me from finishing the run tutorial. No matter when I push the jump button, he won't jump off the branch close enough to make it over the gap.

Some very frustrating bits, like that last jump in 3-5, but a good game overall, especially when played with an old-school controller :)
