Reviews for "Tiny Dangerous Dungeons"

The game's great and all, but the stutter every now and then kills it for me. You'd be trying to jump and it stutters, then you die or get hit because of it. Don't get me wrong, I loved the game.

This is a nice little game, very nostalgic. As others have said, a save before the boss would be *nice*, but not necessary. Wonderful job imitating the GameBoy!

Really entertaining, you were actually able to give it a gameboy feeling, kudos for that. It's a little bit too short, though, and some more options would've been nice (like a bow or something like that). Very nicely done anyway

Tremendous game. Incredible visuals and feeling, good controls, good progression and design, bloody good difficulty.

I have one problem. The final boss is rather difficult for me, possibly because I'm a wretched player. I die a lot fighting him. Due to the save statue system, I have to continually play through the last hallway of enemies to get another chance at fighting him.

This small penalty became infuriating as I lost very quickly every time fighting the boss and couldn't hardly figure out whether I was even close each time. The more frustrated I got at having to walk through the last hallway again, the more I made stupid mistakes. I wanted another go at the boss immediately and I couldn't have it.

That aside I think this game is incredible. Really brilliant.

I love this games retro-style graphics and music, plus I really enjoyed many of the gameplay elements such as the jumping and knife-throwing puzzles. However, there is one real thing that keeps me from giving this a five star rating: I absolutely cannot beat it! If the game was fairly hard to begin with, I would understand. But, about half way through the game you just get blind-sided with an incredible difficulty spike. I went from meandering to the dungeon fairly easily to suddenly being forced to execute a rather complex series of jumps, such as starting to jump, then beginning to fall and attempting to land underneath a spiked ball without land into the water below. Oh yeah, and that while trying to dodge a bat that I seemingly cannot hit. Then, when I finally cross that part, I'm greeted with I-don't-know-how-many arrow-shooting heads, which I still cannot get past. I try 3 more times but I just don't have the patience at that point to solve the puzzle because if I fail, I have to go through all of those trick-jumps again. I suppose its not your fault that I'm not amazing at jumping puzzles, but this sudden difficulty spike is what really kept me from fully enjoying the game.
