Reviews for "Kingdom"

Your game has a huge potential and I could even pay for a more developed version but as it is right now it's not special. The graphics and sounds are perfect and the concept excellent but the survival part is not quite interesting and too hard past level X (it has to be re-evaluated). As for the economical aspect of the game, you've seen everything past level 1, which is regrettable.

It would be truly amazing if there was a possibility to choose a game mode (plus a peaceful mode) and the possibility to build a geater town and castle with a much more complex economy. As previously said, I think the basics of this game could be the fondations of something much greater.

Great work. I'd love to see more of this.

I really like the sound and visuals, but I'm not sure if I'm up for a strategy game lately.

The visuals are really amazing and the game is a nice take on the tower defense concept.

Got to day XII before getting bored. My only complain is that the AI could be better given how long it takes for them to walk.

Lovely graphics and sound, but as others have mentioned the gameplay is tricky. I see the game as something of a strategy game, as opposed to the tactical focus of most defence games, in that you have to make the right moves at the right time in order to get a positive outcome. I disagree with others who never build beyond the initial castle and walls - I find that extending to the right leads to higher income, thus more servants (archers mostly) and more ability to recover from attacks. I still can't beat level X though, and I wish I could save and retry so that I can try different strategies to see what works. And when my archers wander outside the walls, or only defend one spot, its pretty frustrating. Some kind of "town alarm" system which focuses attention at a particular spot would be interesting. Also, it seems, although I'm not sure about this, that shooting past walls reduces archer accuracy or damage or something. I kinda like how I don't know exactly what affects what - the game mechanics are somewhat emergent, rather than simply deterministic.
