Reviews for "Cursed Treasure 2"
This is now my favorite TD game on newgrounds. I do agree about the brilliant stuff on the barbarian levels... wayyyy too dependent on drops. Other than that this game has hooked me for a couple days, and flash games never do that.
First off, I want to say I hate IriySoft!!! The game is too addicting! I started playing this game on Friday and was so hooked I neglected to mow my lawn this weekend, and here it is Monday morning. Probably a good thing I'm not married. ;)
The good:
This is one of the best tower defense games I've played in a very long time. The graphics are top notch, the upgrade paths are plentiful and make it feel like I'm accomplishing something, and it has a very high replayability (if for nothing else than to get those achievements!)
The bad:
After playing for about 15 minutes, the games severely starts to lag, requiring a refreshing of the browser. Also, having to hold down the mouse button or the space bar continuously to make them move faster gets tiresome (considering I'm almost always holding it down during play). A toggle switch would be an easy fix for this. And finally, though it's been said already, there is quite a bit of "luck" needed to get the "Brilliant" score in the higher levels. This gets aggravating when you have to rely on lucky drops to keep the early waves from touching your gems. Luck has no place in a strategy game.
Overall, this is just a great game in need of a few minor tweaks.
