The Games pretty awesome, the artstyle, the music, the idea and the challenge. The only bad thing I can say is that the Story is nonsense.

You're right about the story not having a great place in the game, and might seem off.
We will improve this in our next games and we do want the story and the setting of a game to be a major part of our creation.
However - we do want to say that this game (and probably all of our future-games) is based on some early 90's games (Volfield, Supaplex, S.C.OUT, Skyroads - for example) where the gameplay was everything, and the story kinda took this opening screen in a nonsense kinda way - from there it was all about the gameplay.
Fun game. Just to rub it in.. I did level 8 three star on my first try. :P
I cannot fault this game. entertaining, challenging and addictive ... everything you want really!
I would move the top bar to outside of the playable game area as it obscures the view.
