Reviews for "Neonball"

Awesome design.

I can't recall playing anything like Neonball so for me this is an original concept. The colors are great, the controls are simple and responsive, and the design of the levels is challenging, but fair.

I especially like the sound design. Lasers, metal clicking, background noise. Everything works together well to add to the overall experience. Neonball is easily one of my favorite games on Newgrounds.

I very rarely award 5 stars, but this is a very well executed game. The sound is great, the graphics are better (I love the way the walls light up as an array), and the challenge is fierce. I'm not really a fan of these simple mobile-style games, but for what this is, there is very little that could be done to improve it.

It's amazing. :)

5 Stars!

You weave slowly through the maze, scoping ahead as far as you see, aware that one false move lands you straight in a burning laser. Beyond a gauntlet of insanity lies the final star, a prize only for the determined mind and experienced fingers. Trudging through puzzles and pitfalls, you press on towards the goal.....and then rush like a madman, cursing the damn clock! :)

Thanks for 4000 points, here's my five stars.

The Games pretty awesome, the artstyle, the music, the idea and the challenge. The only bad thing I can say is that the Story is nonsense.

Brusi responds:

You're right about the story not having a great place in the game, and might seem off.
We will improve this in our next games and we do want the story and the setting of a game to be a major part of our creation.

However - we do want to say that this game (and probably all of our future-games) is based on some early 90's games (Volfield, Supaplex, S.C.OUT, Skyroads - for example) where the gameplay was everything, and the story kinda took this opening screen in a nonsense kinda way - from there it was all about the gameplay.
