Reviews for "Slender Survival"

Just plain out boring. Should at LEAST have a running option.

Brunodev responds:

We'll add that ASAP, thanks for your feedback!

Game mechanic: Not a very fun game, just pressing <= or =>. Game would be a lot better if you add in upgradable a weapons like find a stick, then knife, then bat, pistol that don't do anything or maybe just stun him .005 seconds. Maybe even add jump button for the heck of it and even a sprint button. No interactive environment is not good. Don't have Slender come just from left or right, have him come from the background/environment or even coming towards you like a sprite layer in the front. Add in death scene.

Concept: Tbh Slender never was, never has been, and never will be scary. Most of the recent promotion of him comes from hype and youtube partners riding the gravy train. Replace Slender with Pennywise or Sadoko or some horror element that you personally have a fear of and i'd bump the rating 1 more star, 5 stars if you add in more game mechanics. But as it is now, it just seems like a 16 bit platform tag game.

Brunodev responds:

Hmm, thanks for you review sequio, I got your point, but you know, at least for some people, Slenderman is in fact scary, so...but yeah we'll think about adding some more stuff to the environment!

Interesting (if done before) idea but unfortunately the game seems more based on luck than anything else. Due to the fact that Slenderman is FAR faster than the player he'll always catch up and drain some Sanity, so the game effectively turns into 'hope Slenderman doesn't show up and if he does hope he goes away quickly'.

Brunodev responds:

It's not a matter of luck, but time management. Try spending 300 stamina, resting to 800 the change your path. ;)
But eventually yes you will lose. That's the point.

I play 1 minutes and I get bored

Um... well, I never have been very fair on Slenderman games because they all seem to be inspired by that terrible SLENDER one. But there really could've been more to this.
For a start, it really wasn't very scary. It used the same, generic setting and note-idea, which has nothing to do with the original lore at all, and became boring and repetitive way too quickly. The backgrounds clipping in and out seemed like a glitch, and when Slendy finally caught me he literally did nothing. It kinda killed the mood.
If this is a first game, then well done, but next time try and aim for something less simple. All it really needs is some replayability. If I'm to be scared I'm going to want to care about the character enough to worry, and that means my character needs to have accomplished something.
