Reviews for "Mineral Rush"

I'm loving this game so far, but theres some stuff thats holding it back to make it a great game.

Maxiecole responds:

Thank you. Do you have any suggestions?

ok game was fun, but i think the buy and sell, smelt and blacksmith system could be improved. i mean when i have 150,000 of the three main resources, 20,000 in gold and 3,000 sapphire there has to be a faster way to smelt, sell, buy and smith. i mean i'm already clicking my mouse a lot to get the resources. i think a slide system or sell all and buy max where you can buy the max your money will allow all at once or a keyed system being able to type in amount for all of them would be nice. I like listening to music just not the sound of my mining , having the option of music but not "sound", could also improve the game experience. and because i was getting high numbers it became hard to see what the numbers actually are, larger areas to view numbers or something would be nice, but all having been said it was a decent game once i figured out most of the random calculations, it just too spending the right amount of time in one mine to find the rarer minerals.

Thanks for the comment. I made this: http://prntscr.com/12qey7 - Although I wont update my game as long people are playing this. (Their save will be lost) :(.
Noted the disable sound option and the number space.

smithed all the necklaces and didn't receive my medal! other than that fun time waster.

Maxiecole responds:

Ah sorry, I forgot I can't just rename medals. Should be working now.

great game! very cool. i also liked the music. made it your self?

Maxiecole responds:

Thanks!
I didn't make the music. "MrLornard" on Youtube did.

After about an hour of gameplay, I still haven't picked up a single sapphire! Overall this is a fun game, but it feels like the gameplay is a bit flawed. The rare minerals seem to be way too hard to get, unless they become available only in the final mine (I didn't reach that one)? Buying coal and selling the smolten blocks is a time-consuming task when you're up in the hundreds, it would be nice with an option to either buy in bulk or type in the number of items you want to buy. The upgrades are a bit misleading, in how each upgrade increases your number. You wouldn't really be able to wear five golden armors, and swords, and axes. It took a while before I figured out that you could buy more than one of each, and that you don't need to save up ore to buy gold items since everything is an increase in the number anyway. Also, there should be some kind of warning before yu die, something more noticeable. It does say you should keep an eye on the health meter, but after a lot of digging the task gets so mundane it's easy to forget about. Overall though, this was a lot of fun. I was expecting something like Motherload but it turns out it was completely different. Hope this will be improved upon; I don't mind if save games are lost in the editing process. Seeing as their easy to lose now, by mistake, or by carelessness, it might not be that big a deal. Keep it going!

Thanks for commenting. I will release a patch very soon now, that makes dragonstone and sapphire more common, (along with alot of different stuff) I agree that it doesn't make sense to stack up on the same tools, but I think that's how the game is supposed to work. I could re-name everything so you would buy extra miners and guards. But meh.
My attempt on making the health noticable is to change the color on the health when it's getting low. I will add an extra warning.
