Great game, I remember playing the classical !fishy! game years ago, and when I first played this I really noticed the similarity. It was also a great tribute to throw in fish types from the actual original game. Even though this is a great improvement there are still som things than can be made better. First I noticed that sometimes when you get hit you dont die, so it would be nice to have a lifebar. Second it would be nice to have more of an indication on which parts of bigger fish you cannot touch. I noticed that on some species the back tail was glowing, but I think other parts you can touch should also be marked, and it should be applied to all species. Thirdly, I think that you should only be eaten when you touch the mouth of other species, it makes more sense and makes the game more playable since enemies sometimes can take up the entire screen. Other than that it was a perfect game.

I implemented that mouth/body thing in the "plus" version and there is an option to turn the mouth/ bodies on and off.
That + the tags take away a lot of the charm of this but again you will be able to toggle them on/off if you want to play this expertly. Obviously this is a limitation of having a bunch of different shaped fish as opposed to all the same fish like in Fishy, which was still pretty annoying because sometimes it was close as hell and you died.
So the lesson here is: Make sure you're bigger :P

It's really annoying to have to start over when you get eaten. Please can you make it more like frantic frigates?
The "Plus" version will save your level of evolution, if not your size.
