Reviews for "a game of grief"

Really liking the style and mood of this project so far. The only thing that seemed slightly off were the background noises. They sounded pretty loud before you even saw what was causing them; maybe you could have them start faded and slowly become louder as you reach the person/animal making the sound.

This looks like a great game in the making. I enjoyed this demo and am really looking forward to the finished project! Good luck.

wow..... just wow... definitely left me wanting more. Great job with the feel behind it and I really hope to see the full game on here at some point. Good job my friend

I'm glad you put so much heart into this game, otherwise I couldn't give it such a positive rating. The game is indeed very glitch and as a programmer, it's frustrating to see this in such a simple game.

How hard is it to check if player.x < targetValue? Or to resolve isLeftPressed and isRightPressed booleans before taking action?

Oh well. I guess not everyone enjoys programming to that extent. In that case, maybe find someone who knows how to write code to help you. A great little project so far - please finish it.

I have to say that I'm not sure where you are going with this. How this game is going to help teenagers deal with grief is not something I would understand so well. I have been through grief myself and what game helped me most through it is a game where you can just go around and destroying stuff. Something to deal with your frustration. And some story that later will open you up for grief. Just after you have gotten your frustration out of your system. Else, I would really be interrested in seeing how this project turns out. From a game designers point of view.

While all you had to do is hold down an arrow key, I thought it was pretty interesting! Tom Fulp added this to his favorites so yeah it's pretty good!
