Reviews for "a game of grief"

It's not actually a BAD creation, not as such. The idea is good, the general atmosphere comes across effectively, and the animation is solid. However, I do kind of feel that if this was what you were going for, maybe you should just have gone the whole way and made a movie out of it. It's either that, or make it possible to at least have some interaction with the environment. You know, being able to read a note, or look out through the window... simple stuff like that. Perhaps you could even add a possibility to pick up the crying baby or something, just so the player have some feeling of being in control of what happens.
Still, three stars for the animation, and emotional potential.

I agree with you, and if I had had more time I would. scripting however is an uphill battle for me, so to get the effect I wanted i focused on the art. Really great feedback though

I really didn't understand this game. Was the scene at the end implying that what we saw was just a game in itself? Or was that part of the game? It's not much of a game where all you do is walk in one direction the whole time. Congradulations on being Tom Fulp's favorite game! I guess this just touches people on a psychological level.

That might only be because it's so hard to understand. I at least have to give you credit on having a fairly original concept. Strange, but original. The sounds were pretty omnious too. It looks like you should come out with the full version as that would probably be more enjoyable.

You wrote this to help teenagers with grief? You might just end up worsening their troubles. The music was good, but having to run past babies and people dying without helping them... eh.

as a video or a movie, this has several levels of meaning and a possibly deep storyline behind the icelandic volcanic eruption.
as a game....honestly i understand its a concept, but just pressing the left arrow key for 60 seconds straight each scene isnt quite worth putting on as a game for everyone to play.

It's an interesting submission.

As a game: It's really bad. Very Short, not much user involvment and glitches some times.
As an interactive movie: Very touching. The story is very pertinant to prior events.

One thing that I do think should be taken into consideration by others that it is Just A Demo, however I think there is still room for improvement.

I would like to see how the whole project goes!
