What a cute game!
The music was good on most levels and the graphics were alright. I was particularly satisfied by the smooth controls.
The distinct lack of violence was refreshing, I liked that. If you ever make more of this, keep the violence out, there's quite enough of that on here as is.
As for the difficulty, I passed the game without ever dying even once. I'd say don't add checkpoints, it's not too hard but not too easy either.
Glad you liked it! I just like the idea of a game where there's no real fear, or violence, or anything like that. Just adventure, and friendship. I think adults can enjoy that too, even if we do feel it's "cute" (if that's the case).
The controls are Stencyl being absolutely amazing, really, as I'm a non-programmer type. Interesting point on the checkpoints (and glad to hear people present an alternative opinion), but I'm okay with adding a half-way point in each level, I think, as I can see why people might get frustrated.

nice music (except the beach level). have you ever heard the word checkpoint? do you know heart of darkness? heart of darkness is harder BUT IT HAS CHECKPOINTS! could be longer with some aliens that refuse to recieve get hugged to death. heh, death by too much love/hugging...double jumpimg would help us players to not die. and some upgrades (in case you want to make a sequel, please ad a double jump, some love shooting weapons and some upgrades). i can breath under water but i can not swim? is the suit to heavy. hugging...by giving it a flower? i hope their necks snapped while he hugged them...
It is cute, but really, really too slow and easy. It wasn't challenging at all. Besides, a big minus for no quality reducing option.
Sorry about the quality thing - made in Stencyl, total newb, so I didn't think of or know how to do it. I'll try and keep that in mind for the next game, or see if I can patch it into this one.
