I think that this is a pretty well done game with just a few flaws that reduce the playability and enjoyment
-Ore can pass through tree and often ends up stuck inbetween them or stuck inside of one making it impossible for the player to retrieve it.
-The town is completely flawed in several aspects; the town generates revenue at a far slower rate than the player can gain on their own through mining which makes it nearly useless for anything but acquiring achievements. Another flaw with the town is that no matter what configuration buildings are put together, population growth does not seem to accelerate past 10 or 20 at best and even when dozens of buildings were placed together in an attempt to raise the population growth rate it gradually declined to a trickle of 1 or 2 per day.
-Another issue with the game is that it quickly becomes repetitive and banal due to there only being one method of play.
-Finally, my last issue with this game is the difficulty of remembering where 'awesome,' or 'excellent' mining shafts were located after a series of carpet bombings. Perhaps improving the marking system to include a few of the best veins instead of just one.
Other than all of that, great game.
