Reviews for "Outpost:Haven"

great

love it fun fact the very second i opened the game i already had my left hand on the controls without realizing

The hell

WAT THE FUCK WaS ThAT when i die. Jesus.... made me shit myself anyway awesome game continue the good work

Almost Perfect, Slightly Flawed.

It deserves a 10, but my only complaints:

1. Your split up with your teammate... Since when do people split up while doing a recon while going in blind? Never.

2. Avoid boss fights; If you didn't have boss fights, it would've been way more original.

3. You should have dedicated an entire floor/level to the lead-in. The lead-in is always the most fun because you're thinking "What the hell's going on here" and it keeps you on the edge. No games I I can remember have ever done the lead-in right.

Pretty good though, it reminds me of Metroid: Fusion.

Squize responds:

We were already worried about the lead in being too long. For a full game you can get away with that, but this is a Flash game and people are only ever a click away from leaving it.

Thanks for the review.

THAT'S IT!

You showed me how the real game about survive should be :)
It's like Dead Space and that's good :)

An awsome game, good job.

This game was really well done. The visuals, game-play, and music all worked together really well creating a great experience. Though I can see many people complaining about the difficulty in the comments I feel like the difficulty added to this game.
Just some comments about some things that could have been done better.
- the key-cards were practically useless because the pistol had unlimited ammo
and could be used to shoot open doors.
- there was very little indication that you were taking damage, which was more
irritating than anything, the only notice I got that I was dieing was that my
health-bar started to drain away and the slight flickering of my character. for
a game that makes great use of audio it would be nice if there was some
indication of damage there.

Squize responds:

During development quite a few people said we should have a sound effect for when you're being hit, but I think it happens so often it would get really annoying and overpower the other sounds.

Cheers.
