Amazing.

One of the best games I've played in a while, loved the levelling up, the gameplay and the artwork is what makes this the cutest game I've ever seen on Newgrounds :3

awesome

but I can't get past the second boss!!!!

One problem..

Compared to some other platform games I have played here, this is superior. Only problem is sometimes I won't jump even if I mash down the A button. Other thing I saw is that if you don"t let go of the left or right buttons you will keep moving after you land. That turns into a problem when it comes to parkouring on the small wood planks. Other then that Great Game!

Well, it looks good.

The game certainly looks good. It looks and feels just like the other games in the series. It's just... the controls are atrocious. They go against everything I've learned about platformers on the PC.

Firstly, movement is ALWAYS better in the WASD format. I understand that some people like the arrow keys better, so you really should have the option to change it. Also, why can't the jump button be lumped in with the movement keys? That got annoying quickly. I could have tolerated the arrow keys for movement, if "up" were jump, instead of A.

Stopping the entire game to move and aim the magic was tedious, and I found myself not ever really wanting to use it. Your first spell, for example, could have been much better just having an immediate forward fire shot, rather than having to stop to aim.

I didn't want to give this game a score as low as I did, but the controls nearly made the game unplayable for me.

Maybe try actually finishing the tutorial before critisizing the controls?
