Solid, but not inspiring.
The only problems I had with the controls was I'm TOO TIRED to differentiate a from s, not your fault I'm retarded in the early AMs. So solid mechanics, graphics and everything. My issue is that it's really nothing new. I got bored very quickly. The best workaround I can think of right now is weaving some story in to get the player hooked from the very beginning. You have great foundations but no flair/drawing power.
I don't want to be some randomer going around collecting clothes and killing small cute creatures - I want to be a hero with personality and a great cause to motivate me! I don't want to chase after yet another kidnapped ladyfriend - by now I'm jaded to their affections and my heart is too weary to chase after another token broad. Methaphors aside, give me a character and a new motivation I can sympathise with :D
Don't be afeared to try something new! This type of game has been done to death - I reckon if you experimented some you could produce something innovative and memorable.

Not Bad..
I am not much into the Adventure Story RPGs, but I think this was a good spin-off of them. I must say, this game was pretty good. It has good graphics and gameplay, but after a while it began to get boring. 8/10, good job.
