Reviews for "William and Sly 2"

How wonderful!

This was one of my favorite games when the original version came out so it's great to see this! What I love about this is how you have truly improved in terms of graphics. It's only been a couple of years, but it looks so different! I do, however, think I might like the other one better because this one didn't have gameplay that was as good. It's still great to play and it's wonderful that you made it. The music is flawless and really gives you a sense of being in a peaceful world.

It's weird to see those looming shadowy cultish figures sometimes. The rest of the game has such a playful tone, but that's fairly dark. At least you get a good oppurtunity to look into every crevice. I've noticed that this time it seems like you can jump from one place to another with the map a lot easier. That's still not the best thing to do, because there are hidden things to explore that are not on the map. It's simply an all around great game.

Oh My God =D

THANK YOU SO MUCH ^_^ i've only saw the 1st one about a year ago, and now that theirs a 2nd, im happy, this is one of my most favorit games :)

You are phenomenally talented.

You have created an exceptionally thoughtfully programmed game. This should be a standard for other flash games.

1) Your exposition for the player is extremely smart. You do not need a tutorial because the game incorporates the tutorial into the storyline and description. The "forgot the keep out" sign is brilliant from a developer side. You are flagging the notion of "hidden areas" for the player in a way that is subtle and cohesive with the plot.
I also wasn't sure if the "one sec..." when speaking to William was saving the game. However if it was, another smart and subtle addition.
2) Visually, as others have noted, this is stunning. The multi-layered backgrounds are great and detailed. The color and contrast changes in the background with the Ohnem (sp?) denote the eerie mood perfectly.
3) The controls are delightful. The fox feels very "floaty" and it's perfect. Sometimes I felt it was perhaps a hair *too* floaty but it was not distracting.
4) The additional powerups were a marvelous addition. The "sight" one was excellent - when I saw the scope of the map and initially thought I might potentially spend an hour searching for the last items I anticipated knocking this game a couple points. However, once again you anticipated this before it happened and addressed it in the game.

I would absolutely love to see you create a game like this with an expanded universe, different areas, and more puzzles. I would probably pay money for it.

I dunno why, but all this FNF thing made me remember Newgrounds and my memories from the first game came out and i never knew if there was a 2nd part bc i didn't even play it in the newgrounds page just in a random one D: now i feel bad

I just added the William and Sly games on steam, so you can also play natively in fullscreen if you're interested!
