Reviews for "Bullet Audyssey"

I got two words for you...

Remove. The. LASERS!

They were nigh impossible to dodge and really messed up the timing of any bullet based stages.

its not the first game of its kind but.....

this reminds me heavily of the toho game series, the faster the music, the harder the stage, only you dont GET time slow, you get move n pray, so, bravo, and keep up the good work, also, if you were to add levels, make it stuff thats ballishly hard, for instance, one-winged angel, advent children release now THAT, would be fun to try

Wow... Just... Wow!

At first, I hadn't noticed the tutorial (how dumb of me, though I think it was blocked by an ad), and went right ahead. Then I came across this thing shooting red orbs at me. I noticed the controls, and right away tried to shoot at it. Funny though, I had ran out of energy, and I was stunned when I was there for a whole 2 minutes trying to figure out what I did wrong. Then I started listening to the music, and later I thought 'Wait a second! That flashing aura around my ship appears to be turning the orbs red!' Then I also realized my energy started filling back up, and that is how I started off. Not too bad, eh?

PS2: I know this may take some work, but I found a really great song, and maybe you could add a level? Thanx :D!

Okay just played the first level i find this game amazing already and hope to maybe see more

Sooooo....

I just completed the game and thought "hell yeah, time for reviewing this!"

Your game is hard. Theres none to say anything else because it IS hard and... yeah thats nice because I think it's OUGHT to be hard :3

But let's get started before you start snoring and sleep on your keyboard:

While the music most of the time was not exactly my thing it fit the stages and was fun to listen to while dodging nearly endless amounts of bullets thrown at the player.
The rythm most of the time helps you to get a feeling of what awaits you which is AGAIN due to the difficulty level neccesary and AGAIN I think it's something original which gives this game a special atmosphere.
The Graphics are simple but fitting, the life and 'ressurection' Idea after losing ships nearly forcing the player to finish this game with all levels in gold again gives it a very own touch and a kind of fairness for those who DON'T play Touhou 24/7 ... you know?

But there are some things I didn't like in Bullet Audyssey as well:
First of all you need to check on those l4z0r stages!
They're incredibly hard to dodge and while you get no clue about it they seem to damage your ship even by touching the hull with only one pixel, so theres no sense in showing hitbox at all because your hitbox has nothing to say about the colission!
Maybe you should have a look at your script again and look for the cause of this because it makes stages like Eridanus realy frustrating.

Also theres something to say about the slow down function:
While it makes the game easier to play and - I admit - I used it a lot of times to complete levels you should think about changing it... maybe raise the draining-speed of energy or halving the pulsefrequency of your Bullet aura so it cant be maintained forever?

All in all Bullet Audyssey isn't the best Bullet Hell I've played but it is creative fun to play and challenging enough to spend your time trying to beat it ;D
