Reviews for "Epic War 5"

This is Great, but there's a glitch... I'm receiving Hobbits when I DON'T have them on my team. Mind fixing that? Thx!!

This is too similar to previous games. It is hard to even notice anything new other than the levels.

I like the strategy involved to beat some of the bosses (and it was sometimes really challenging, which is good) although once you have figured it out the pace of bringing all that HP down is too slow. The increased speed button is my normal speed. There is really no reason to use normal speed but in the very beginning since you don't need to micromanage much.

The music is epic as always but way too short. You really need longer songs especially considering the time it takes to bring a boss down.

It gets 4 stars the game is fun and great but it loses a star because the commands and telling my hero what to do only works when it feels like it and it hinders my ability to win so other than that one star its good game

I think, of all the bosses, the Colossus is the hardest to beat. Not only does it have monstrous HP, but it deals enough damage to kill most of your high-tier units outright. I found a decent way to beat it, but it relies heavily on luck.
My hero is Queen Etheriea, which is important. Her regen spell is great for units that have high HP. I cite the Inferno and the Black Dragon for this, since they can survive the colossus for a few rounds.
First, use as many fodder units as you can to slow the colossus's movements. The more, the better. I used both goblins and hobbits.
Next, I use the Inferno, as it's standard attack causes it to move through the enemy. If you time it right, it can slip past the colossus. You may then move it towards the end of the map to negate the enemy fodder units. This will prevent them from killing your own fodder, increasing their effectiveness.
If you are using Queen Etheriea, I suggest adding a high HP unit, rapid movement unit to the mix. My personal favorite is the White Wolf, since it's standard attack moves past the Colossus and back. With a bit of luck, he can dodge the colossus outright. Using Regen will make them last longer.
And finally, fill the remaining units with as many caster type units as possible. I do this because the standard Golem unit, which the Colossus is based on, is weak to magic. I don't know if the colossus shares this weakness, but since my casters did more damage to the colossus than my other ranged units, I believe this is the case.
If you are lucky enough to slip an inferno past the colossus, keep an eye on it, and heal when necessary. Trust me, you do not want to attempt slipping another one past the Colossus.
And that's about it. If you time it right, and with some luck, the colossus will be stuck, and you can pound on it until it falls.
Good luck!

great game just stuck on the stage fighting colossus, which is a huge pain in my butt
