First off, I think the game was phenomenal. Great jorb.

And for those having trouble with the laser spider envoy, your special attack will stun them, allowing your regular punches to hurt them. As well as if you have your health and probably defense fully upgraded, they cannot one-shot you. They will half-shot you, and you will regenerate. Hurrah.

What I did there was just run to the back of all of them and killed them backwards. Seemed to work well, or at least I got some Thelemite before I died each time, allowing me to upgrade stuff.

It looks silly, it is not

At first I though this game was the typical button smasher flash geek-concept-instead-of-an-actual-gam e.
When I came acroos the first boss I realized it's not. The first spider made me focus on the combo ability, and I defeated the last boss by powering up a concrete ability.

So yes, great button smasher arcade with bits of brain. Perfect combination in my opinion.
