Reviews for "Delivery Man"

Very nice

Its nice athmosphere and the weapon gameplay is nice as well
but to make it simple... it just never really kicks in hughe to make you play it to the end :)
I think if this gets you hooked then you have a very nice and long gameplay experience
if not you give up either after the first boss or like me when thoose suicide bombers kick in...
Overall addictive and quite good concept.

GREAT GAME!!!

but if you die in a jump you start to fly :P

Fun, however

tedious. It gets to the point where killing similar enemies over and over gets tiresome, but thats what to be exspected with this type of game anyway.

Game play wise the controls were decent, although i found some irritation with minor quirks in aiming but thats forgivable. A decent gun collection, A larger than exspected number of levels and an amusing plotline allowed me to push through the tediousness just to finish the game.

Graphicly, the steampunk esque style of your post apocalyptic world was quite appealing, as was the continually moving background which added a nice touch of actual motion to your game.

All in all I enjoyed this, with the only improvement suggestions being a more spread out the car upgrade to pace the price of Hit Points to match the levels' growing intensity instead of leaving in three distinct bursts. 5/5 10/10

As to the complaints made by TreasureTrapped, i honestly dont know why your having difficulty. I made it to level 7 with a Lvl 2 pistol by merely clicking as fast as i could aiming directly behind the enemies. Once you obtain the Rifile you must only aim for headshots, Ideally before other enemies cause the layering problem. If more appear, simply spam the pistol untill they are manageable the repeat with the rifle. Also coctails only require one hit, So if you have the rifle equiped simply switch to the pistol for 1 shot, the switch back and keep headshotting.

Shoot shoot and shoot again!!!

I have to admit that the storyline is quite original but shrot and simple. The gameplay itself is TOO REPETITIVE all u do is shoot and the only thing to do is aimin and clicking so its not really challenging. The upgrades are almost useless since they cost pretty much and actually do almost nothing. The enemies are always the same and so is the background and the music. Too bad coz im a BIG fan of Berzerk Studios. NEED IMPROVEMENT!§!§!

It's fun. At first.

I like the pacing. The game feels fast, it feels like there's a lot to do. Having the moving background gives some good visual flair to the defense wall type game that are usually very boring to look at. The bosses are creative with specific points to hit, though it would be nice if they had more attacks overall.

But the game gets boring and unforgiving very, very fast. Upgrades are too expensive for how much money you make. I couldn't get through the first few levels without buying the upgrades since enemies take several headshots to kill with the pistol even with it upgraded all the way, and by around level 6, enemies appear in huge clusters that you cannot fight back with the pistol. They just don't die fast enough from any shot, head or no, so I had to grind, and this game is already extremely repetitive.

The movement is nice, but it comes with some problems. I like the sweet jumps visually, but I'd prefer being able to consistently hit the enemies. Despite that the movement makes the environments less bland to look at, there are also only a few that you see over and over again. That also goes for the enemies.

The worst, however, is that the game is just unfair at times. You can't shoot enemies when you're being shot, which doesn't make any sense and breaks the game. If you have a lower level gun, you can't kill the enemies fast enough before there are clusters of them. If one starts shooting, it's very common to be comboed to death and not be able to do anything. This goes doubly so when there are molotov guys because you have to take your aim off the enemies to not be killed by explosions. This might be a bit mitigated, but still not fixed, it there wasn't a priority problem. The enemies, in theory, are moving left and right when they move forward and backwards, but it's still a two dimensional view. In my experience, you always end up shooting the person closest to you if they're also high up. When trying to kill an enemy with a headshot when I finally got the rifle, the enemy placement would often make me hit a background and further up guy in the chest, then there'd be too many enemies and I'd end up getting comboed to death or distracted by molotovs until I'd end up getting comboed to death. This might be ok if it didn't happen so soon and if you could get upgrades with any expediency, but it starts happening around level six when you're not going to have more than a few upgrades. So you grind, the game becomes more repetitive, boring, and not fun.

Finally, and this is a small thing but very irritating, but there's no reason to have the multiclick, semi-auto firing. You mostly are firing into groups, anyway, so it just makes my finger tired. It's not like I couldn't resort to clicking for each shot if I wanted to fire with more precision for certain situations. It's just that the longer levels go on and the further into the game you get, the less those situations crop up.

Make the upgrades to guns modules that change the way the gun work and/or add to its stats, make them easier to get, make the distinction between auto and semi-auto the base firing speed of the gun rather than the one click or multi-click thing, add more environments or at least arrange them so that there's a progression rather than a loop so there's some more variety, and fix the stun locking and perspective problems. Then you'll be fine.
