Pretty meh.
Good concept and some neat ideas, but the game itself isn't too fun. Not terribly but it just feels dull.

The concept could've had potential...
...but this had nothing to do with the London Riots, other than the fact that this game was about rioting, looting, and pretty much running around getting items that don't serve much more of a purpose than the running itself. It was very cluttered, but the little group of hipsters running around was amusing enough. It gets very redundant after the tutorial. I did enjoy the smooth scrolling of the screen, however.

I'm British and I'm not that offended to be honest but you know I guess I didn't get my business or home burned down. I don't think you were trying to glamorise the violence but I can see how others may think you were. Bit of a touchy subject really. We're still bloody arguing about why it happened!
The game was alright. Better then anything I can do but it was nothing special. I suppose it's success is defined by the fact it's topical. It could have been titled anything but because it says London you made it to the front page.
Anyway I like rusty games so good luck on your next project.
Not fun...
If you make a game, it oughta be fun to play, and this just isn't.
First, your overall presentation lacks appeal. This way it's just crude and tasteless, why not make it more over-the-top and ironic, a bit like GTA or something!? Give the hooligans some character. Mock them a bit. You would have spared yourself a lot of criticism if you chose for comedy rather than taking this too serious.
Second, it's not fun to play at all. If I command a riot, I want to have the feeling that I break stuff and kill people, not see a bar going down and dumb police following me. Give me the feeling that I'm in control.
incomplete game
The game would be way more fun with sound effects. Holy shit, a lack of sound effects should bar a game from making front page. To everyone wondering how you make looting and rioting NOT fun, simply strip the game of sound effects and presto, it loses all fun factor.
I LIKE the game but it is rather boring and uninteresting without those sound effects. The controls are simple and easy to understand, pathfinder isn't giving me too many problems, but the layouts honestly feel cramped. That's about it though, it's very simplistic and doesn't have a ton of variety from level to level.
