Reviews for "Slayer III"

Error

From what ive seen it looks fun but when I click on the RUIN X on the main map, it leads me to http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view /www.maxgames.com

It Was Alright

I Didnt Feel Any Reason To Add Any Points Into Magic Or Dex. The Only Thing You Really Need Is STR And CON, Is There Only One Opponent In The Arena? Because After Defeating him And Leveling Up Several More Times And Defeating The Sand Golem( Which Btw Was Pretty Easy To Beat (Stab Stab Stab Stab Roll) There Also Seems To Be No Closure To The Game. After You Beat The Second Boss. You Go Back To The Order. And No One Is There And Theres Nothing Left To Do. Ontop Of That. The Control Scheme Is Poor. I Dont See The Purpose To Click AND Hit A Number Key... Why Not Just A Number? Not To Mention Why Not Have A Control Scheme That Doesnt Need The Mouse. I Feel Hitting The Spacebar Would Have Been An Adequate Substitution For Clicking. To Summarize

-Spells Are Limited. And For The Most Part Unneeded Only Need STR And Con To Suceed
-No Closure To The Game
-Awkward Control Scheme

Not Saying There Were No Good Parts To This Game. I Thought The Voice Acting And The Story Line You Had Going Was Very Much On Par With Todays Dungeon Crawlers And The Grind Wasnt Too Difficult. This Game Is A Big Heaping Pile Of Potential. And With Just A Little Work Could Be A Lot Better. Id Like To See This Resubmitted [= Cheers.

meh

Usually sequels (triquels?) are amazing, being based on a good beginning. Slayer III was my first game in the Slayer series, and I am somewhat disappointed. The graphics... leave a lot to be desired. Do people remember marionette puppets? The slayer and his enemies move like those, awkward joint movements and jerky actions. I truly dislike having to press WASD or arrow keys, number keys AND use the mouse in a game. The repetitive clicking required also got on my nerves a bit too.

The concept, I admit, is good. That was what pulled me in to begin with. But it's glitchy, and I got to a point where no one wanted to challenge me at the arena, but I couldn't go anywhere else. If this was the first in the series, I would say it was a great first effort.

If I may make a suggestion? Look up Battle For Wayland Keep. Although it's on a much smaller scale, the movements are smoother and keyboard reaction is quicker, and it would be a benefit to this game if you looked at how it was done. Plus it might help to expand the range of spells in this game.

seemed like it would be intresting

the game seemed fun but every time i try to click on a area on the world map it gives me a error code saying "Portal submission not found. Double-check that the web address is of the form http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view /XYZ where XYZ is a number

That only happens in the tutorial level.
