Great game, ruined by an absolutely sadistic boss.
I am fighting the temptation to knock off two more stars very hard because of Stompy. Holy fuck, what were you thinking? If it weren't for that thing, this game would be an absolutely perfect Metroidvania, but as it is...
It may just be me, but that boss simply seems too damn hard, even compared to the final boss.
Really? It's interesting how different people find different bosses hard. I've heard the same thing about bosses three and four. I think it must be a matter of strategy. You can see how I fight Stompy in the video in my newspost (skip to 9:40 in the video). One of my testers swears by always aiming downward, so the boomerangs come back up and hit stompy in the eyes. I'm sorry you had a frustrating time with Stompy! Thanks for the review.

Good, but final boss too hard
I enjoyed the overall game, but the second form off the final boss was way too hard on normal, even after figuring out it's patterns. Everything else was great.
All there is to say: epic.
