Nice try...
I can see what you were going for here, but releasing an unfinished, buggy game is always going to get poor reviews, for good reason - even if you declare that it's unfinished, it's not really much of a game to those of us who play it. It's also just not interesting enough to hold my attention, although I believe I made it to the end in Dresden.
You need to make the plot far clearer - even if you're basing it on other works, what was going on was not made clear at all, nor did there appear to be any sort of message beyond a slightly-pretentious remark regarding destiny. I understand the main work is also confusing, but this really didn't explore the point of being 'unstuck' in time.
I certainly did like the idea of time-travelling to get items, though, almost Day of The Tentacle in it's idea. It's been poorly implemented here, unfortunately. If you'd made the characters more involving and put some more heart into the message, you might have done much better, although given your time-restrictions, I'd say you did as much as you could with the time you had.
Looking forward to seeing more of your work, though.
