Reviews for "Minecraft Seed Gen"

Huh, this is actually pretty useful.

It does exactly what it says it does, and the seeds it generates (at least for me) have managed to get me near forests with already open caverns full of coal and ore. This allowed me to survive very easily (well, until I found 2 creeper mob spawners. Then I died horribly. XD)

All the same, as araphon1 suggested, you could put dropdowns into the flash that allow you to dictate quantities of things in the map like dungeons, caves, ores etc and possibly what you want the overlying theme of the world to be (I would go for something that gives pumpkins personally, jack o lanterns are awesome for light sources).

I've given you a 5/5 and a 10 star review. I hope you make another version of this with the amendments that araphon and I have suggested.

Really good idea!

There is room for improvement though. Like basing the generation on choices from menus like. "I want [amount (much/litte/normal)] of [mineral, material, blocks]" dropdown menus, and amount of animel/monster spawns, amount of dungeons and amount of underground tunnels and grottos etc. This would require loads of time though. Would be fun if someone felt up to the challange :)

Until then, I think I am going to use my own seeds (uhuhuhuhahaha) by entering silly texts in the seed. Like "Three merry helicopters hoovered in a triangle" and such ;)

Like the idea

"Isnt the seed function there to play the same map and not a random one? So why did you write a program that just spits out random characters?"

if you know minecraft you would understand that if you generate a random seed, you cannot find out what you used, but with this you can generate one, and give it to a friend to play the same random map :P

Did you understand the idea?

Isnt the seed function there to play the same map and not a random one? So why did you write a program that just spits out random characters?
