You need to hone your animation skills
Your spriting skills are getting better, but there are still some improvements you could make and problems you can fix:
- You left some background pixels on the explosions. Make sure to delete them.
- When Luigi turned Fire Luigi, the quality of him was sucky. Make sure your bitmaps have "Lossless (PNG/Gif)" turned on in the "Bitmap Properties" window.
- Next time make sure to blend the high quality special effects into the background.
- Add Spacebar actionscript to the text boxes so people can read at their own pace whilst not having to click on the screen each time they wish to advance to the next text box.
- Fix the black screen at the end of the movie so it goes to your "REPLAY?" button automatically.
- Some of the sprites were not animated correctly, specifically Bowser's "Idle Pose". Have his feet aligned at the bottom so when he is animated he is not shaking up and down.
- You should add some "Quality Buttons" so people with slow computers can watch "Mario Battle Bros" without lag.
- Assuming your inspiration was "Super Mario Bros Z", try not to copy too many story elements from it.
- Just throwing in a useful tip, try using a VCam so you don't have to resize the sprites too much.
That's it for my review. Sorry if I sounded a little harsh, I wasn't trying to be. You got potential, but your skills need some work. Keep practing on your animation skills and you'll get really good one day.
