Wow, Tom Fulp died. Ding dong the witch is dead. Just kidding. I'm assuming that was a metaphorical death. What about theamazingatheist? He's the only reason I ever even look at youtube at this point. His stuff isn't always entirely a waste of time. And once he even promoted Newgrounds. Or at least said he was killing time playing flash games on Newgrounds. And the guy who did the annoying orange. Sure, the annoying orange is stupid, but some of his other stuff isn't. And then there's the "simon's cat" videos, "ask a scorpion" (and ask a sub-zero), and for some real fun, you can even watch the original "duck and cover" video from the 50s. See, you just have to know where to look and be a little creative with your searches.
