I love it when they do this...well.
You've taken a classic and made it your own. I like. I didn't get very far, mostly because I suck, but what I got through was very well done. The variation in the background, music change every level, different enemy types and mazes all contribute to making things interesting.
There is however, one thing I would change. The (for lack of a better term) falling boulders are fixed, not random. Scripting them to fall randomly would prevent people from flying through on memory.
An all-round well-made game. Good job.

Other than the ship moving a bit sluggish, it's a good game. A nice throwback to the 80's arcade space shoot em ups I grew up with.
