Reviews for "Closed In Addendum"

Very cool

I liked this a lot. Very much in the same vein as Color Your World. Keep it up.

Lets see...

This is a good creepy game, the history is great, but the ending is like "wat?" you can't see it coming, i like the quote at the end.

A lot of symbolism.

In my opinion there was a lot of symbolism. Some reviews have stated there should be more storyline to go with the characters, but my interpretation told quite a bit about them.

You wake up in a dark and empty house, perhaps showing that the main character doesn't have any friends or family in her life. When you examine the fridge, all you find is cereal, showing that family dinners or entertaining guests probably isn't a high priority for whoever lives in the house.

You then move outside and find a note from someone you know, stating that there is at least one person in your life, and probably someone you care about.

As you head towards the station, you notice a baby carriage, but upon examination it shows that it is empty. This stated to me that perhaps the couple were trying to have a baby, but could not, or perhaps lost their child.

You next come upon a broken down truck, which I presumed belonged to the boyfriend/husband. This made me think that perhaps the couple had financial issues of some kind, where they could not keep up on regular maintenance and things like that.

When you get to the station (presumably where the husband and possibly wife work, or at least I thought so) you notice it's disorderly having been re-arranged, which said to me the couple was perhaps having trouble ordering their lives lately, perhaps due to the previous troubles stated above.

You then head back outside, where meteors begin falling from the sky, symbolizing the world falling apart, perhaps not for everyone, but for these two.

You head towards the co-ordinates on the computer and begin searching for your husband. Along the path, you find a syringe, telling me that perhaps one or both of the couple had resorted to drugs to escape the reality of their situation.

When you find your husband, he seems distraught and doesn't seem to understand how he came to his current location. He then begins stating his love and how nothing else matters to him, and wants to find a way to bring you back together. This says to me that perhaps there had been some kind of conflict between the couple and he was now trying to make amends.

While trying to cross the newly created path, he stumbles and falls into the crater. You are then given the choice of following him, or leaving. In joining him, you are shown joining hands with him at your house, when reality you are both dead at the bottom of the crater. This can prove that their love was truly undying, or that blindly following in the name of love can lead to your death.

If you decide to leave, you are shown in the house alone again, much like at the start of the game. You are a betrayer to your love, but you are alive.

In all, I enjoyed the game, and hope to see more like it in the future.

Unlike Most People...

I found this game to be rather beautiful. I love how you can either choose to die with the one you love, or you can die alone. It's a beautiful moral, and it's surprising how many people would probably choose betrayal over loyalty in this situation. It's startling how many people can't seem to understand and appreciate this moral theme, and how important it really is.

I'm actually giving you a nine out of ten because of the controls, not the moral. I could barely jump over the meteor's when I got to them, and it took me quite some time to get it just right. Maybe if there were more, or a puzzle to get around them, it would have made more sense. But, instead, you're left to hope you make it over.

I personally loved this, it's going in my favorites, and I don't know why so many people are rating such a good game wrongly.

I hope to see more from you!
