Reviews for "Road of the Dead"

I love this game, I wish there were more first person driving games, or just games with cars and zombies!

I love it. But it doesnt save!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Here are my thoughts on this game:
Okay, this game was FUCKING MAGNIFICENT as far as the literal gameplay goes. I was/am blown away that somebody could do something this cool with flash. The zombies getting on your car was very nice, and helicopters/military were very fun to fight. I liked how you have dialogue that reveals the story, that was a great addendum. As well, the soundtrack was very appropriate and I am glad that that was done.
That having been said, there are some things that just kept this game from being the greatest I've played. Like, for instance, the voices...
The voice of basically all of the extra soldiers on the radio I heard were great! They were very good actors and sounded very convincing. The game was marred, however, by the fact that the two guys who talk THE MOST besides the main character were not very good.
The first commander in charge who talked didn't sound very convincing. He firstly didn't curse at all, even though you portrayed him as very nervous and hard-pressed. Military men would be cursing a lot more to me, and especially the ones who are reticent like that, (but personally I don't think any military guy who's in charge should be portrayed as anything other than confident otherwise I don't see how he got in charge). So in all fairness, the voice actors poor lines were more due to poor writing than poor acting, but he still didn't sound very convinced he was much of anything. And his voice sounded electronically deepened which just made him sound more goofy than anything else.
The second commander general was better. His lines were pretty solid, but his accent (beyond being a little sterotypical) was kind of overdone and easily laughed at. But he was better as far as his delivery and his confident nature in speaking like a weathered general.
Now, the main character was amazing! He sounded like someone I would play as in an actual video game! I loved his little phrases he yelled as he smashed zombies off of his car, and his narration of the shit I bought, very nice ideas and very nice delivery of those ideas.
Overall, still one of the best flash games I ever played. The commanders were a little dumb as characters, and their respective actors weren't the best, so that did make the game a little less enjoyable as I had to listen to them for that long. The upgrade system was top-notch, even thoug I didn't have to find myself replaying massive bits of levels when I died, but I guess that's just how the game goes. The soundtrack was badass, and if you ever want one I am all right at those too, but you seem to have it covered with that one (even though it was a little too quiet). If you ever want a voice actor, you should message me about it, I don't have a portfolio but I can act and do accents very well etc. etc.
Still, as I said, one of the best flash games I've played on the site and in my time on the internet, as far as being involving and actiony.

How in the hell do you get RP??

This game is awesome. But hey, more variety of military and zombies would really spice up this game.
Overall one of the best games I have played.
