Reviews for "Battle Shift"

Great game!

I'd give you a ten, but I found a rather annoying glitch: If I tried to move left while throwing knives up, the character would move to the right, and more often than not straight into an attack. Otherwise, the whole game was quite enjoyable.

good but one problem

i paused it for about 1 minute and when i unpaused it the boss shot like 30 of those things im going to call shadow balls at me. other than that its a good game.

Note: Pause Button is ESC

Game was very fun to play, and I didn't want to stop playing til I killed the thing. And I DID kill it (which is why I'm writing the review instead of still playing or rage quitting.

Balanced, fluid, and easy to get used to. Not too hard, not too easy. I did note that if I was told to do this with an actual sword instead of my infinite supply of magical throwing knives (they have to be magic to be able to strike a shadow. A shadow that is also a shapeshifter), I'd be so screwed. Would also be a good idea for extreme mode. Have the character have to actually swing something at close range in order to hit the thing.

+Balanced difficulty
+Boss was somewhat interesting.
+Character you used was not interesting at all, so he was easy to ignore (easier to focus on the boss).

-Short
-Character you used was not interesting, so I didn't give a crap if he died. Short game without a real story though, so I'm not taking off for this one.

Would be cool if these games had multiple boss fights that all lasted this long...oh wait. Yeah....I just asked people to make a Flash version of Shadow of the Colossus.

Nevermind. 4 out of 5.

very nice shorty

it was fun to play, but theres one thing i hate - instant death.
Just from the 3 plattform phase to the 2 platform phase i just stood there on the edge and BOOM! it was gone. Next up that black wall in the last 3 phases.
For the second last one i had to run close to that thing, missklicked and byebye.
Still pretty nice game :D

Nostalgic

Man, I remember playing games like this years ago. Except dying meant doing the entire frigging level over again and praying that you didn't get hit by the fucking pain in the ass monsters en route to the boss.

It's a damn good game- nice, short, not too difficult nor very easy, with phases that are varied enough to make almost every one a slightly (or drastically) different fight.

I'd also like to note that at less than three minutes in length, the game doesn't need any sort of a save feature, and I'm glad that none was implemented.
