I am an American and I can honestly say that if you have swallowed so much propaganda that you think being patriotic is A)believing everything the media tells you and/or B) sitting on your fat ass sucking on the nipple of consumerism and nodding your head instead of actually having the courage to confront the truth, and in doing so, realize that our country is controlled by evil men, and in doing that, take the initiative and speak out. Morons like Bush and his war on terror gang have wiped their asses with the bill of rights. Right to a free trial? Do know how many arabs (not to mention mexicans and south asians who looked like arabs to their captors) were detained without being able to contact their families? Do you know how many Americans like you and me died (and killed innocent people) in Vietnam so that the .05% percent of the upper class super wealthy people in America could continue buying mink coats, all thanks to the lie that America is threatened by communism. America isn't threatened by communism, the handful of rich assholes who are in control of America telling us what the fuck to think and do are the ones threatened by communism. If Vietnam is communist then it is strong enough not to be robbed by that handful of inustrial overlords. That is why it had to be attacked. Is it that unAmerican to want that 99.95% of Americans to have a good life, with hydrogen cars that A) cost less in direct gas prices and B) cost less (in money and life) as they don't require waging of war on the middle east? The american people were forced to keep buying gasoline to cover Currie Chevron's ass. The war in Iraq is entirely based on oil. In effect, countless dollars and lives of Americans have been lost so Currie Chevron, who is now dead, could buy a new limo. And we still feel the burn to this day. If this is unpatriotic, then patriotism must mean allowing yourself to be manipulated and crushed by a handful of corrupt Americans. Is it UnAmerican to nod and smile as a handful of American men let millions of other Americans, Enron employees, lose their jobs? Aspiring to adhere to the constitution is apparently unAmerican. Bush robbing us of our privacy through the homeland security act (in violation of free speech, right to a free trial, freedom from being searched without a warrant -- 3 ammendments by Thomas Jefferson, mind you) and labeling all critics as unpatriotic, The bush admin. in effect shows that he thinks that the constitution is not American enough...Ok... Oh, and lets not forget stupid Chriastian fundamentalist control of the country. You think that's American? The man on the hundred dollar bill was an athiest for crying outloud! Don't forget our friend on the nickel...
This is a fine movie, and although it's not rational, it's funny! Plus, it shows that some people still have freedom of thought and speech in spite of all you misguided souls who have lost all sight of what "We the people" is supposed to mean. Free thought and speech. That is true patriotism. And this movie is free though and speech. So all you people waving flags and attacking the very people you claim to belong to can just go to hell.
