Do we really need another unforgiving chess game?
So this could have been a pretty neat game. The death animations are pretty cool, and the game has style. But underneath these things lies the same old unforgiving, unbeatable chess AI we're all tired of losing to.

Although it should recognise that king knight vs king is stalemate.
Difficulty setting, a few more animations and multiplayer and this would of been the perfect chess game.
However that is a lot to ask, and considering this is a free online chess game made in flash, it is still pretty awesome.
Worthy for a 5 after I saw the first pawn v pawn animation.

Haven't played chess in a while and this game was a nice revist to the peacefull game. How do you get the second checkmate animation, I've beat the game four times now I think and the checkmate was the same (one of them I forced the stalemate to get the animation which made me lol)?
Suggestions for next time, add a gallery so we can re-watch our favorites, the A.I. is alright but I didn't find it overly challanging and could make some bonehead moves at time so perhaps adding a second smarter AI (alot to ask I know) and lastly alternating sides (I don't like going first all the time).
Extra points for knowing about the en passant move everyone I've ever used that move on thought I was cheaking. Great game. (Would give you 10 but I would REALY like it if the AI was just a touch smarter but you do get 5/5 woot).
There is one checkmate where you win and one where you get checkmated. So just lose to see that second one, it's a good one :) Thanks for the suggestions, they will be considered.
