Reviews for "REDDER"

Nailed the nostalgia!

I originally visited Newgrounds today to take a look at the new submissions, and I've been playing this game ever since! I believe some of the other reviewers have brought up the very same "glitches" I've already run into, so no need to repeat them.
Strangely enough, if you were to tell me you INTENTIONALLY added/left those glitches in on purpose, I'd completely believe you! For me, it added to the nostalgia. I remember glitches like that happening all through early NES games. Especially Metroid and Kid Icarus.

Bottom line, phenomenal job!

Interesting Game

Reminded me quite a bit of Metroid Games, but without the power ups. Which could have made the slightly more addictive. I got that the disintegration of graphics, and apparantly sound according to other reviews though I did not play with sound. But as for the reason I'm not to sure why, I would have thought it would be the other way round.
Still an interesting and good game, very similar to retro games that I liked.

Fantastic, but slightly confused at the point.

I loved the effect of increased distortion as the game went on, but in the end I was kind of disappointed. I thought you were setting up an Eversion-like surprise horror game, as the music's distortion definitely lends itself to a creep factor unparalleled in recent games I've played. I loved it, and when I collected the last diamond I ran back to the ship expecting some nightmare-inducing boss or clip as a reward for the spaceman's Lovecraftian journey. I got...nothing.

No fault of your own that my expectations were off, hence the ten, but I wonder, why distort the game at all? It's nifty, but it didn't really seem to accomplish much.

I love it, but...

Whenever I picked up a diamond, some of the tiles on screen would randomly change to a different tile, and they stayedl ike that even when they went off screen.
Except that, the game was really cool.

Awe inspiering...

this i just one of those games that re-introduces those old lonley adventure games that made the way for all the games that we enjoy today, i loved the "open feel" to this game. what you made here is a nostalgic trip to my memories of when I was younger and just starting to play video games...I loved this game and I hope to see many more games like it...
