My interpretation
For the review, this game is one of those art games that show a simple dilemma at first, but one's perspective on the story changes when you find out what it could represent. It was short but very good despite that.
*SPOILERS*
I believe like others that the girl represents heroin. I'm guessing "wrapped herself around my arm" implies that since heroin is injected in the arm, and I'm not sure if the marks ever go away or not. Like any addiction, she constantly nags him, like a heroin addiction would nag someone else. If the person gave in, they would be sent to the hospital due to being "too close" or overdosing. If the player tries to break away, she persistently derides him, and calls him useless. This shows a person's experience from quitting once they're addicted, as they heavily rely on it. Her fading away shows that the player is steadily overcoming the addiction.
