Reviews for "Air Pressure"

At first I was lost in thinking that this game was about a couple, specially because I saw the "good" and the "not so good" ending, thinking like Raijin13 below. Then I got the "really bad ending" and saw the tags.

This game is so not about a couple that it let me shocked for a second. Great analogy, and really nice idea.

i found three differents finals

I honestly fell a bit in love with this game.

So simplistic in its parts, yet with so much depth overall and every part being synergetic with the others.

Leigh's facial expressions are great and the music fits the story's hidden meaning in its atonality and drowsiness inducing quality. It lures you in and lulls you just as Leigh makes the protagonist feel (somewhat) content and "safe", but ultimately leaves him feeling unfulfilled which leads to self-loathing.

The total lack of any third person outside of the ending shows their intimacy, but also how much he relies on her to the point of shunning the world and everything else in it entirely. He lives in this small shadow of a world centered wholly around Leigh acting as his crutch to cope with things while nothing else seems to give things any sense of importance and the technical side with the empty backgrounds and lack of sound effects helps to drive this point home.

The off-color scheme with that melancholic, almost sick mood it sets is simply perfect, especially since at first you rather attribute that with the way the story starts with looking back into the past since myriads of movies trimmed us to think of that as those colors as the typical "monochrome flashback" trope, which works nicely to lure our eyes away from the true nature of Leigh for some time.

Sometimes less is simply more and unlocking the mystery and looking for the symbols is a lot of fun and fills with that sense of satisfaction no achievement or medal can compare to.

Every line of dialogue has a dual meaning, one part showing a stressed and unhealthy relationship, with Leigh`s supportive, yet demeaning way of looking out for the protagonist and the ways that fits the girl's real nature. Right at the start that line about her "clinging around his arm" is getting eerie and haunting once you realized things, making this a joy to replay and explore.

This really is a masterpiece of a short visual novel and you should be real proud of it.

i got the good ending!

Wow... The depth and narrative of this game are outstanding, I thought is was just about a boring, arguing couple but when I realized what it really about it hit my in the face like a brick! good job.
