Beautiful, but unsatisfyingly short.
Now, don't get me wrong when I give this game a score that's less than 10. Allow me to explain.
My only qualm with this game is that it was far too short and didn't progress the story enough. This would normally not be an issue if episodes in the series were being released every other month, but it takes 4 months to produce a click/point game of this caliber. Naturally, after this wait, I was hoping to at least uncover something about the main character, or at least what was even going on. The story does not appear to even have a direction at this point, leaving on the exact same note as the first episode (he still killed Alice). There may be a reason for all of this, and perhaps everything shown so far ties in together at the end, but it would be nice to offer the player some kind of payoff.
Nevertheless, the contributors do a fine job with nearly every other part of the game. The art is simply beautiful, the music is delightfully creepy (as is the voice acting), and there are no apparent bugs in the game. Only the story needs more work.
P.S. Do the bell and button serve a purpose? Also, is it possible to unlock the 'restricted' prisoner lookups (Alice and Rabbit)?
