Reviews for "Sketched-Runaway Wedding"

cool movie

The only bit i didnt like is the last guy who spoke, the groom. I thought that guys voice was sketchy at best, aside from that i thought it was tops :)

sirjeffofshort responds:

I guess I need to work on my "douchey guy" voice haha. I'm glad you enjoyed the short though.

It was okay

I don't know if i think it was bad but it interested me enough to look at the other "Sketched" loved the animation though that's boss.

sirjeffofshort responds:

Thanks. All of our sketches ARE very different from one another so by all means please go check out the others.

adjust the volume

i wouldve been more apt to watch it again if the sound was leveled out nicely, just saying. i liked the flash itself though :]

sirjeffofshort responds:

Yeah, a good audio guy would probably do us well... I'm glad you enjoyed the short anyways though.

Codi and Lori look hot but those are probably just really good pictures of them.

excessive index finder usage

people don't point at everything while they're talking, and flailing the character's hands about while they talk doesn't make up for the lack of movement of the actual character, it seems that in each of these, you make 1 or 3 backgrounds, place characters in in one spot, never move them, and so that this doesn't look completly half assed by just having the character's mouths moving, you make them point alot and move their arms alittle... just sayin.

-music's cool, makes me want to take a road trip.

sirjeffofshort responds:

Haha, I can't completely deny what you are saying. Those are some of the problems with trying to translate sketch comedy to animation. If you watch most sketch shows you'll notice each scene does take place mainly in one central location in front of one backdrop. However I do agree that since we are animated we can feasibly explore much further so it's definitely something to look into. I can't explain away the pointing though... I have no idea why I do that haha.

In the end for us it's mostly about the comedy, but that doesn't mean we aren't looking to constantly improve the animation, so we'll definitely keep your thoughts in mind for the future.
