Nice flash.
I have to say that was pretty good. The story was nice and characters were well made. The only problem I had was the ending death for the alien could have been just a bit more exciting. Good job though!

It was pretty nice
I liked this a lot because of the animation. It's actually kind of strange, because the animation of the mammoths seemed pretty detailed in comparison to, say, the caveman. It was interesting as I was thinking about how the caveman was going to defeat that alien creature. It was a pretty weird cartoon, but luckily I'm a big fan of weird things. The music was pretty nice, if a little generic. It's nice that you listed your influences and all of the stuff that went into making this neat little cartoon.
Very good, However....
Ok, so the animation was good, the sound effects were good also. The only thing that kept me from thinking WOW was that it had no accompanying music.
The animation is somewhat comparable to Tom & Jerry; no speech, just the facial expressions to tell you whats happening. The only thing is that theres usually music (classical usually) that keeps the viewer roped in at all times and I felt that this is what your animation lacked.
Other than that, it was very good. I feel you could make a whole bunch of these tales of a caveman stories but there needs to be some music in the background to keep the viewer interested.
