Hit boxes.

Great game, except for the stupid hitboxes. They are horrible, I was routinely hit by things no where near me, and could hit things, namely certain red arrows and have nothing happen.

Thats damn fun! and frustrating at times

I don't think I have ever played any of our other games.
I also never thought a platformer would ever be fun for me again until this came along.

Art/Graphics: 10 Very nice. The Bright colors of the game made it very appealing and interesting to look at. Each enemy was a different color that allowed you to identify them and create the appropriate strategy to deal with.

Music/Audio: 10 I think it got repititous a but but I was stuck on the 5th or 6th level so I kept doing that boss over and over again(hearing the boss music over and over again). Than the music got irritating. But Overall its very appropriate to the game. It matches the excitement and builds. The stage level music is subtle enough that its in the background and changes to more tense music for boss fights. The fact that the stage music is forgettable when I am not playing and good enough for when I am playing is a good sign.

Gameplay: 8. I had a few cons with the game and the game had a lot of pros.
I know the that we can adjust the keys, but I played as is. For some reason the 3 button configuration was problimatic for me. Maybe Im to trained on using only fire and jump. Adding the sheild was a great idea, but I had a hard time combining shoot, jump and sheild. When I want to jump, I hit sheild by accident.
Again, that may have been just me. Also, seemed like the sheild had a 1/4 second delay or something.
I found the powerups very interesting. Especially loved the super cannon from the mouth. (other players be warned that it has kick back)
I found the levels very interesting. You made the levels completely random and randomized them when you lost all your lives and tried the game again. I really, really liked that. It gives the game multiple playability and changes the enviroment. I also found it interesting(and loved) how you could jump off the side and possibly land on another platform. I eventually ended up developing a strategy of spending one life just to see the map. And if I was lucky enough to land on the boss platform, than the battle was on.
I loved the bosses. Very unique and original, and a serious pain in the ass at later levels, but thats part of the fun :)
Now, based on the critiques below...
I enjoyed the shortness of the levels. It helped with the fast paced nature of the game. Also, Im not sure, but it seem like they were longer in the later levels.
Levels being unbalanced? Not sure what he meant. Seems as thought it got progressivly more difficult as it went along.
Luck based? I dont totally agree. I managed to defeat all the single bosses with the regular eyebeams and if I got the other weapons than it was a bonus.
Falling platforms...I feel those are easily dealt with. You simply anticipate that the platform may fall and prepare ahead of time.
But I do agree that there is an issue with platforms that are not visible below you. There is simply no way to tell.
While you did say "expect to die often" (and I did) not being able to see the adjacent platforms below you seems like a gross oversight in such a fun game.
It doesn't ruin the game completly but it really is a big thing. Still, it's not big enough to lower the score completely.

Total score of 9.

Not my thing

This isn't the sort of game I excel at. In fact, I did horribly, but for what it's worth, it's a very well made game. It does have a sense of humor and does come down to the base idea that flash is about killing some time. At that, it does excellently, burning easily a few hours.

wow

its nice and all but the buttons get stuck so you got right and it keeps going also same goes for all movement shield and attack

Futile

The name said it all
