Reviews for "Revert to Growth"

Take it or leaf it.

The game was quite a decent puzzle game, and unique too. The graphics were pretty impressive and the Music didn't get old. Collecting the keys were a nice little bonus too. I did however find that the controls could become a little frustrating, the jumping did not always work correctly and seemed to collide with everything, and the creation of the plants was quite confusing to begin with. But still, a pretty decent game.

Take it or leaf it! Haha! thats punny.

Nice game..

Graphics: 9/10
I really like the graphics, they are great! :D

Sound: 8/10
Sounds are good.

Music: 7/10
The music is fitting, but it get's a bit repetitive after a while. Thankfully there's a mute button, but the mute button also mutes the sound..

Gameplay: 9/10
The gameplay is very smooth. However, I don't find this game addicting.. I also found out a minor bug: when you grow a plant in front of a stone block and then try to push the block, against the plant I just grew, with another plant. Then the stone block first is pushed into the plant and then jumps either up or down.. also when I drop a stone block on my robot, I hear a simple thud as if the block falls on the ground, but it actually looks incredibly stupid that it has no effect on my robot and the block just simply lies on top of my robot's head.

Story: 4/10
There's not much of a story, now is there? I get that I have to fix that ship, but there really is no background info about who I am, where I came from, why I crashed on a planet? Well, I guess it doesn't really need a story to be played, but with a good story I'm more willing to get to the end of the game.

Overal: 7/10
I enjoyed playing it and it's always nice to have a level editor so I can create my own stuff. :)

AethosGames responds:

Thanks for the reveiw!

Not many puzzle games I know have a story, but I think I'll give you more info on the robot should I make a sequel.

Pretty good game

Good that entertains for a little while: 8 points as base.
A little short maybe, at least I would like more "extra levels" for the challenge. -0.5 point
Hosting the walktrough on the ad-ridden and to us Taiwan resident incredible slow King.com. -0.5 points
Having a overly picky creator who can't take a simple "This game is not my cup of tea" as a reason for lower score (Oh, I'm going to burn for this one). -0.5 points
Having to use things that look like bugs to me (having the blocks "bump out" when colliding with two things) to solve levels. -0.5 points

So... 6/10! Not bad, above the average. Keep up the good work.

AethosGames responds:

Yeah, your going to burn for that one :P

I can understand why the other points would cause you to lower the score, but I only give angry responses to people who say crap about the game thats untrue( ie. no arrow keys in the controls, bad graphcis, etc) or that mark it low and refuse to tell me how I can improve it or whats wrong. I realize that I cant please everyone. The guy who said it wasn't his cup of tea, I said that I dont know why he likes those games, but everyones different. To mark me down because you misconstrued my analysis of reviews is a bit unfair, don't you think?

i idnt like it at all...

but they worked on it sooo 6...

ummm...

it freezes at the Psy Productions thing before the main menu so i could not play it...because you but in alot of work and your on the front page it must be good i will give you a 6

AethosGames responds:

ummm... thanks?
