Reviews for "Parkour Parkour Brooklyn"

In My Opinion . . .

I like free running / parkour and I found the gameplay and animation to be very entertaining, however I would've liked a little more reaction time than what was given at certain points. The audio was nice and suited the active style which this project consists although it does get repetitive and boring after a while. It is very good however improvements can be made therefore I am giving this flash (7 / 10) and (4 / 10). I look forward to seeing a longer version and maybe more controls could be added such as keyboard options.

A little dry...

Honestly, it was a bit boring. There were very few commands, and the time-stop didn't really add to anything. I would understand making it slower, but stopping it completely just sort of de-rails the pacing. Furthermore, the animation was, and I don't usually say this, but it wasn't flashy enough. It felt like the character was walking through the game, and quite often I was drawn away from him by other objects. If that's how it's supposed to be, then all right, but if you want what the character is doing to be the central point of the game, you need to turn it up a notch with him. Make him dash instead of jog. Make him leap instead of hop. Exaggerate every action at least a little. Draw me into the action rather than focusing on the mechanics. This was a good first step, but the next one is going to take a lot of effort. Are you up for it?

Good idea

I like the idea of the game, but I think it could be executed much better. I think playing it like a point and click, especially with pausing, isn't the right way to go. It would be much more fun if you decided the move yourself with keys with the character automatically running, or with a time limit to make sure you didn't dawdle. Another acceptable option would be to make the whole thing play like the end sequence, albeit with slow motion only when it was required. Looking forward to the whole game!

Great idea

Not executed perfectly. This is pretty original. Work on making it a flowing exciting game.

A for effort

Firstly, *great* concept. Parkour is awesome, and this can only inspire more folks to get into it. I really love the cute little freerunner!

Music could've been a bit better. Doesn't matter if you go with hiphop, techno, or rock. That song is just...blagh. Too noisy.

I don't like the background, but everything else about the environment is cool. Maybe make a sketched out skyline, or watercolor?

And I agree, a more advanced game would be great, with medals and all. Love the concept of the gameplay, it's something a little new, and a breath of fresh air is always good when it comes to flash games.
