I've also encountered the glitch
I have the same problem as vilexis.
As soon as I get the slingshot Gretel becomes impossible to control. She continues to run either left or right [mainly right] and at times only the left and right arrow keys [a and d keys] will work, but as soon as you let go of one she will run what ever way she is determined to run to.
I love the art and style, but I agree with vilexis, it's hard to enjoy it when I can hardly play it.
I really like the the game...

awesome game! I love the watercolor art and all the deaths were fun to watch. I only give you a 9/10 because when i played it through a second time there were a few layering issues.
ex. when i walked behind the well gretel looked like she was on top of the well. another spot around the stairs by the house and also wouldnt collect the branch after shooting it down.
crow death wasn't exactly lethal
she just loses an eye =p
fyi don't pet the crow
