Great job. Loved the style, and the re-imagined characters. The only problems I can really come up with are already addressed in your own comments.

Backgrounds...
you said you did the backgrounds in photoshop correct? it seemed most of them were (or looked like) graniants, you could have easily just used the linear and radial graniants in flash for backgrounds. the blurred scrolling ones probobly looked better in PS but the unblurred one's should have been made in flash
I liked the flash but it was much too short, you could have made the fight a little more intense with some crazy intro's or a few more punches and like special moves and stuff. Also reminded me alot of DBZ (some of the moves and SFX)
either way 3/5 7/10
